Bangkok Myanmar earthquake March 2025


Prayers for all the victims affected by the powerful earthquake that hit Myanmar and Bangkok, Thailand.

Many people across the globe were shocked after reports and videos emerged after a powerful earthquake hit Myanmar and was even felt in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.

According to GMA News Online, it cited data from the United States Geological Survey (USGS) that a 7.7 magnitude tremor was registered. The epicenter was 17.2 km from the city of Mandalay, Myanmar.

Meanwhile on the social media site X, numerous people shared videos and photos of the strong tremor that shook Bangkok. The Thai capital subsequently became a top trending topic on X Philippines.

A YouTube vlogger named Mergim, who has visited and created travel videos about the Philippines, was in Bangkok during the earthquake. He shared what he had experienced in a recent video.

He said , “I was doing my laundry, until I felt a sudden shift in the building. And that can't be me, there must be an earthquake.

“And then seconds later, sounds of cracking started emerging. They usually say find some sort of arch to hide under, but the cracking was so loud we just decided to blitz out of the fire exit and come to the ground level.

“This is quite an unprecedented sort of experience for myself. I have been in an earthquake before in the Philippines and it's been like a scale of five.”

Meanwhile, Pinoy travel vlogger Ivan de Guzman took to his Instagram Story to assure his family and friends that he is doing fine. Ivan is currently visiting Pattaya, which is located south of Bangkok.

Several Pinoys have also expressed their solidarity online for those affected by the earthquake by praying for them.
