Drew Arellano is a kid-at-heart for a reason.

“I grew up in a house where the priority of my dad was us kids so the culture stuck with us na it was always playtime and playtime was very important sa pagpapalaki sa amin,” he revealed.

His parents created a home environment that would allow them kids to feel that they have the venue to play and express themselves.

“[I think because of that, we] have that good foundation as siblings [and] 'yung relationship namin with our dad and mom,” he added.

Because of their upbringing, their household has always loved receiving kids.
For Drew, the company of his nephews and nieces energizes him.

“Growing up, we felt that when we see kids, it’s always playtime… Having a kid in the house is just so [fun], 'di ba? It’s just like balls of energy running around,” he said.

The Bonakid Pre-School Ready Set Laban host also revealed a cute happening in the Arellano household when his late father Atty. Aga was still around.

“Dad ko, matutulog 'yan ng Sunday after lunch from 2 p.m. [for] siesta. 'Yung mga inaanak niya, 'yung mga apo niya, [napaka-ingay], running around. Pero nakakatulog 'yan,” Drew disclosed.

Curious and amused, he asked his dad how he’s able to sleep peacefully with boisterous laughter and shrieks.

“Sabi ko, ‘Pa, paano mo nagagawa yan?’ Sabi niya, and I quote, ‘music to my ears,’” he shared.
