The Miss Universe Philippines preliminaries will play a big part in determining who moves into the finals.
The Miss Universe Philippines coronation night is getting closer and closer and pageant watchers and aficionados who want to get a feel on who might win the crown need to mark their calendars for the preliminaries, whose date and venue was just announced.
In one of the more recent posts on its Instagram account, the Miss Universe Philippines organization announced that the pageant's preliminary competition will be held at the Newport World Resorts on April 28, 2025, 6 p.m. Before that, the organization will also be holding the finals of the Mister Pilipinas Worldwide competition.
Miss Universe PH candidates stun in evening glam
The preliminaries will be set a couple of days before the Miss Universe Philippines charity gala night, which will be held on April 30. The gala will be attended by current reigning Miss Universe Victoria Kjaer Theilvig and the current reigning Miss Universe Continental queens that include Miss Universe Asia Chelsea Manalo. The gala night is for the benefit of Caritas Manila.
There have already been some names that have made noise in the lead up to the Miss Universe Philippines preliminaries. A couple of weeks ago, the organization revealed the top 10 delegates for its swimsuit showcase.
The 10 delegates are, alphabetically, Miss Universe Philippines Benguet Maiko Ibarde, Miss Universe Philippines Bohol Tyra Goldman, Miss Universe Philippines Isabela Jarina Sandhu, Miss Universe Philippines Las Piñas Kristel David, Miss Universe Philippines Naga City Zoe Sofia Gabon, Miss Universe Philippines Pangasinan Andrea Cayabyab, Miss Universe Philippines San Fernando, Cebu Thelma Suzanne Dayao, Miss Universe Philippines San Jose, Batangas Jessica Victoria Cianchino, Miss Universe Philippines Siargao Millen Joy Cabigas, and Miss Universe Philippines Siniloan, Laguna Yllana Marie Aduana.

The Miss Universe Philippines organization has also previously announced the top 10 delegates for the Miss Universe Philippines sponsored personality showcase.
The queens who garnered the highest number of votes from March 1 to March 15 are, in no particular order, Miss Universe Philippines Benguet Maiko Ibarde, Miss Universe Philippines Camiguin Larsine Grace Jansen, Miss Universe Philippines Cebu City Grabiella Mai Carballo, Miss Universe Philippines Davao Angeleyh Caballero Pasco, Miss Universe Philippines Iligan Juliana Fresado, Miss Universe Philippines Iloilo Province Angeline Cordero Kailani, Miss Universe Philippines Isabela Jarina Sandhu, Miss Universe Philippines Malay, Aklan Taylor Marie De Luna, Miss Universe Philippines Tacloban Angela Norwillen Cabel, and Miss Universe Philippines Tandag City Danelle Ann Catalan.
The 69 candidates for this year's Miss Universe Philippines pageant were first announced at the Makati Shangri-La, with the reveal broadcast on the Empire PH YouTube channel.
The competing queens this year will succeed the first-ever Miss Universe Asia Chelsea Manalo, who has been busy ever since returning from her stint in the Miss Universe pageant.
