FAMAS Short Film Festival


The Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences is set to hold its first festival highlighting the talents in short films.

The Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) has officially broadened its scope in recognizing Filipino talent by launching its first-ever Short Film Festival.

Powered by REMS Entertainment, the festival celebrates creativity, innovation, and storytelling excellence through the art of Filipino short films.

The inaugural edition received over 500 entries from across the country, which were narrowed down to 27 outstanding films competing in various prestigious award categories.

"Isa itong adbokasiya na mapalakas ang mga baguhan at mga gagalingan nating filmmakers. Itong filmmakers na ito ang mga susunod na henerasyon na filmmakers ng Pilipinas," said Festival Director Gabby Ramos.

The FAMAS Short Film Festival officially kicked off on May 3, with the grand awards night set for May 10.

Now, the highly anticipated event has officially unveiled its first-ever list of nominees!
