South Korean agency Gold Medalist has swiftly addressed the recent allegations made by the family of the late actress Kim Sae-ron against their talent, Kim Soo-hyun.

During a press conference held by the bereaved family and HoverLab Inc., a voice recording was presented that allegedly captured the late actress confessing to a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun during her minor years. The family claimed the conversation occurred between Kim Sae-ron and a whistleblower in New Jersey a month before her passing.

“I dated Soo-hyun oppa. You might say I'm crazy and not believe me, but I dated him since I was in middle school, and we broke up after I went to college,” the voice in the recording said in Korean.

“Soo- hyun oppa and those Gold Medalist people are really scary and will do anything.”

The family announced filing a criminal complaint against Kim Soo-hyun for alleged violation of the Child Welfare Act and false accusations.

In response, Gold Medalist released an official statement firmly rejecting the claims.

According to Soompi, they claimed the audio recording was a fabrication created with AI or similar technology.

"During the press conference, HoverLab asserted that they had obtained an audio recording involving the late actress Kim Sae-ron. However, this audio file is entirely fabricated, " they stated."The individual who provided this audio file to HoverLab (hereinafter “the audio file provider”) is a fraudster who also approached Gold Medalist claiming to possess a recording in which the late Kim Sae-ron made statements favorable to actor Kim Soo-hyun."

The agency added that the alleged source of the audio demanded money and sent a sample of the fake audio. Gold Medalist emphasized that they refused to comply and that the individual had no possible contact with the late actress.

"When their attempt to defraud Gold Medalist failed, they colluded with HoverLab to release the fabricated audio file," the statement continued. "We are currently conducting a technical analysis of the file and will share the results as soon as they are available."

Gold Medalist also refuted claims that the whistleblower had been attacked by anyone linked to the agency or to attorney Kho Sang- rock, calling the claim “baseless.” They added that the photo evidence of the supposed attack was found to be an image downloaded from the internet.

"This press conference by HoverLab is yet another fabrication, staged as a form of cyber attack against actor Kim Soo-hyun by HoverLab, who is now cornered due to their defamation, stalking, cyber sex crimes, and evidence tampering,"he agency claimed.

Gold Medalist announced filing criminal complaints against HoverLab for violating the Stalking Punishment Act and the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (Defamation). The agency assured the public they will fully cooperate with investigators to ensure legal consequences.

The controversial press conference comes in response to Kim Soo-hyun's earlier statements denying any romantic relationship with Kim Sae-ron during her minor years. The actor and Gold Medalist also denied allegations that they pressured her financially.

Both Kim Soo-hyun and the agency have expressed their intent to pursue legal action against Kim Sae-ron's family and those spreading false and malicious information online.
