It has been four decades of music, passion, and love for the Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla, and she's ready to celebrate her remarkable journey in the OPM industry.
This coming May 17, Zsa Zsa will serenade fans at her 42nd anniversary concert titled Through the Years at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater in Makati.
The OPM performer is set to deliver powerful renditions of her timeless hits and fan-favorite ballads spanning generations. Joining her onstage are fellow music icons Gary Valenciano and Erik Santos, along with her talented daughters Karylle and Zia Quizon.
"Imagine being in the industry for 42 years! I'm super excited about the storytelling part - the whole journey," Zsa Zsa shared.
"We've rearranged some of my songs to really reflect different chapters of my life. There are a few surprise numbers, too. I think even longtime fans will be caught off guard in a good way! And I can't wait to share the stage with some really special guests, especially my daughters to celebrate all the moms in the audience," she added.
She also expressed her joy at finally staging the concert, originally planned two years ago.
"Sometimes I still can't believe it's finally happening - I have to pinch myself! It's been such a long wait, and now that it's here, I'm honestly just full of gratitude. This show is really close to my heart. It's not just a concert - it's a celebration of everything I've been through, both on and off stage."
As for what fans can expect, Zsa Zsa says she's embracing a new kind of elegance.
"I think it's all about embracing who I am now. I'm already a senior after all! I've been through a lot, and I've grown a lot- I just want that to show through the music. Glamour is still there, of course, but it's more about heart, soul, and meaning now. I want to represent grace and strength."
Through the Years is under the creative direction of Rowell Santiago with musical direction by Homer Flores. The concert promises a world-class production filled with emotion, elegance, and unforgettable performances.
