This Sunday, FPJ Sa GMA is set to take another restored classic of The King of Philippine Movies, Fernando Poe Jr., into the spotlight.
FPJ Sa GMA will feature the 1976 action-adventure film Alakdang Gubat, which also stars one of the most beautiful faces in the '70s, model-turned-actress Marianne dela Riva, known as Da King's favorite leading lady.
The movie follows Irigo (FPJ), a skilled archer raised in the jungle by the Sablayan tribe. He grows up with an unbreakable bond to nature and a deep sense of justice.
When outsiders threaten the peace of his tribe and exploit their land, Irigo becomes their protector, using his cunning, survival instincts, and deadly accuracy with a bow to defend them. His journey pits him against powerful enemies, both local and foreign, as he fights for justice, identity, and the preservation of his people's way of life.
