Filipino-led Team Recycled stuns 'America's Got Talent' Season 20 judges.

Team Recycled, a Germany-based dance crew led by Filipino founder and creative director Jeff Jimenez, recently captivated the judges on Season 20 of America's Got Talent (AGT). Their performance showcased a dynamic fusion of hip-hop choreography, acrobatics, and synchronized stunts, earning enthusiastic praise from the panel.

The judges commended the group's precision, energy, and creativity, highlighting their standout presence in the competition.

During the premiere episode, the diverse group delivered a high-energy routine that took judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Sofía Vergara by surprise.

Team Recycled amazed the judges, earning the first standing ovation of Season 20.

"This is how you achieve great things by doing great things. Seriously, for me it was perfection because when it first started, oh Christ, it's just a few people on stage and then it just turned into an event," Simon said.

Sofia agreed and added, "It was perfect. It had everything. The element of surprise. I was like Simon at the beginning, 'Oh this is going to be cute.' But no, it became spectacular."

"It's perfect for season 20. And I'll tell you what, it just grew and grew and grew, using the whole room. This is the biggest stage in the world. You used more than the stage, you used the room, and that was amazing," Howie said.

This isn't the first time a Filipino dance group has made waves on the AGT stage. In Season 17, Urban Crew from Las Piñas City delivered a high-flying, circus-like routine that earned standing ovations from judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel. Their performance was lauded for its discipline, timing, and the evident trust among members, with Cowell describing it as "a 10."

Meanwhile, another Filipino-American artist is making waves on AGT. After more than a decade, singer Jessica Sanchez is making a comeback on the global stage in the upcoming 20th season of AGT.

Jessica, known for her powerhouse vocals, first appeared on the show's debut season in 2006 at just 10 years old. She also finished as a runner-up in the grand finals of American Idol back in 2012. Now 29, she's ready to take the spotlight on AGT once again.

The success of groups like Team Recycled, Urban Crew, and Jessica Sanchez underscores the global impact of Filipino talent in the performing arts, bringing pride to the Philippines and inspiring audiences worldwide.
