What's interesting about the showbiz talk show host's humble abode? For one, he did not buy any of his furniture.

Butch Francisco is more than meets the eye, as discovered by Basta Every Day Happy hosts Chef Boy Logro and Alessandra de Rossi when they visited his condominium unit in Greenhills, San Juan.
The showbiz talk show host, who is also apparently a frustrated architect and was a Creative Writing student in Harvard, created the dream house of an old soul. Butch Francisco, who is proud of his investment, reveals three interesting facts about his abode.
1. He barely bought any of the furniture in his house.
He has an old bell instead of a doorbell, an antique chandelier to welcome guests, and a vintage CD player in lieu of a state-of-the-art sound system. To Butch, they cost more than a fortune as most of them are priceless gifts and acquisitions from friends.
“[Yung bell], galing 'yan kay Rosa Rosal. At 'yung chandelier [din]. Wala akong binili. Lahat ay bigay or ninenok,” he revealed.
2. The mood of the house changes per time, per season.
Being in the twenty-sixth floor of a condominium building, his view of the metro is breathtaking.
“Nagbabago ang personality ng bahay during the morning, afternoon, evening. Kagaya ngayon, daytime tayo, kita mo 'yung reflection ng araw [sa tubig]. 'Pag summer, kita mo 'yung Mount Smat, 'yung cross of Bataan, [etc.],” he said.
3. His detailed attention to his house comes from previously wanting to be an architect.

He admitted that before getting into showbiz, he used to want to be a volcanologist, then an architect. The latter wish is translated in how well-furnished his house is.
“Mahilig ako sa bahay eh. Hindi ako mag-iinvest sa damit [dahil] hindi ako mahilig sa damit. Hindi ako mahilig sa alahas, hindi ako mahilig sa gadgets,” he shared.
He then advised viewers to make good investment choices. “[Imbis na kotse], mag-real estate ka na. Sa tamang real estate ha? ‘Di basta-bastang real estate. 'Yun kasi, nag-ga-gallop talaga [ang halaga]. Ang bilis ng talon,” he declared.
