Hinirang na Phenomenal Box Office King si Alden Richards sa 53rd Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Box-Office Entertainment Awards 2025, na ginanap kagabi, June 28.

Ito ay para sa kanyang natatanging pagganap sa pelikulang Hello, Love, Again (2024). Kasama niyang bumida sa naturang pelikula si Kathryn Bernardo, na hinirang namang Phenomenal Box Office Queen.

Ang pelikulang ito ang kasalukuyang may hawak ng record bilang highest-grossing Filipino movie of all time. Ito ay sequel ng pelikulang Hello, Love, Goodbye, na ginawa nina Alden at Kathryn noong 2019.

Sa kanyang acceptance speech, humiling si Alden ng suporta para sa pelikulang Pilipino.

Aniya, "Alam n'yo po, ever since I was able to do the Hello, Love franchise, minsan hindi pa rin po ako makapaniwala na it became a part of history when it comes to the Philippine cinema.

"And given the opportunity to do the sequel for Hello Love franchise, we're being skeptical po because of what's happening in the cinema industry. Some local films are very much struggling even up to this point.

"Naniniwala po kasi ako na for the Philippine cinema to foster, we really need help from everyone--the government, the producers, the actors. We have to have common goals po para maiangat natin ang Philippine cinema again.

"So, with this recognition tonight, I hope hindi po mapagod ang producers, ang mga gumagawa po ng pelikulang Pilipino, para makapag-produce ng mga kalidad na proyekto para sa mga manonood nating Pilipino here and abroad."

Sa ngayon, napapanood si Alden bilang host ng GMA weekly dance show na Stars on the Floor. Abangan din ang kanyang directorial debut na Out of Order.
