Before Megan relinquishes her crown, let's review the quotes that made her worthy of the Miss World title.

Megan Young has won the hearts of people from all over the world.
She has had an enriching journey over the past year and has touched the lives of many through what she has done and what she has said.
Before she passes on the blue crown and steps down, let’s go back to some of her memorable, touching and noteworthy lines.
August 2013: Question and answer portion during the Miss World Philippines pageant
“Miss World Philippines is selfless and to be selfless, you need the heart. If I become Miss World Philippines, I will pour my heart and my soul into helping others which is what Miss World is – beauty in giving.”

“My main reason for being here today is to represent my country, to show the world that the Filipinos are hardworking. ‘Hey, we can do this! No matter what happens, no matter what crisis we go through, we’re willing to help other people.’ It would be an honor to be a part of the Miss World Organisation and I’m sure that the Filipinos will be right be right behind me. They’ll be in the journey to Miss World as well.”

September 2013: Upon winning the Miss World crown
“No words. Salamat sa mga kababayan ko. Mahal na mahal ko kayo. Thank you so much to everyone for choosing me to be the next Miss World. It really means a lot to me and I promise to be the best Miss World ever… I always tell everyone that I would just be myself in everything that I do. To share what I know, and to educate people on what they could do also to help is what I'm gonna do in this next year and I’m very, very excited. Salamat, salamat talaga sa aking mga kababayang Pilipino. Para sa inyo 'to.”
November 2014: A month before passing on the Miss World crown
“Syempre one year mo lang talaga masusuot ‘yung blue crown na suot ko ngayon, and you know, kaisa-isa lang 'to so syempre, ‘pag nakita mo ‘yung bagong Miss World, medyo may kirot ng konti sa puso kasi you know, crown ko ‘yun eh.”
Although she’s set to turn over the Miss World crown to the next winner this December, she will still continue with her work with the organization.
The Miss World 2014 pageant will be aired in GMA on December 15 at 9:30 a.m.
