Valerie Weigmann has been a winner in our hearts way before she bagged the Miss World Philippines 2014 crown.
Our Dabarkads is only a few days away from one of the most important nights of her life as she aims for the international crown. Before she takes the big stage, let’s count down a few reasons why we’ve fallen in love with this beautiful Filipina.
1. She’s gorgeous.

With long, silky black hair, deep-set eyes and such charming smile, there’s no denying that Valerie is simply beautiful. The guys like her and the girls want to be her. Needless to say that everyone loves our Miss World bet.
2. She’s not afraid to be goofy.
With the crown, she’s elegant and classy. However, there’s a side to her that’s just as crazy as everyone else. She’s so game for anything, which made her a perfect companion to Jose Manalo, Paolo Ballesteros and Wally Bayola in Eat Bulaga’s Sugod Bahay Gang.

3. She acknowledges friends who helped her in her journey.
This beauty queen is not at all self-consumed. She doesn’t claim her victory in the Miss World Philippines 2014 pageant as her own but as everyone’s. She even shared that one of the people who strongly encouraged her to join was no other than her fellow Sugod Bahay Gang member Paolo Ballesteros.
4. She doesn’t forget where she came from.
Even after she was crowned as Miss World Philippines, she didn’t forget to go back to her Eat Bulaga family. One more time before she flew to London, she joined her friends in taking over a barangay.
5. She has a huge heart.
Even before she competed in the beauty pageant, she has long been involved with Musikaramay, a group that uses music to uplift indigenous communities. She doesn’t choose who to be kind to and just gets along so well with everyone.
6. She’s smart.
She aced the question and answer part of Miss World Philippines 2014. More than just sharing her thoughts, she urged everyone to do something. True mark of a beauty queen!
7. She’s super proud to be Pinoy.
From talking about the practice of pagmamano in her Facebook page and teaching her fellow Miss World candidates some Filipino words, Valerie sure is bringing the Filipino pride to wherever she is.
