During the ongoing rehearsals for the upcoming Miss Universe pageant in Miami, Florida, Philippine bet Mary Jean Lastimosa already has quite a large following, according to a report by News To Go.

The Filipina, who has Arabian and Spanish roots, elicited loud cheers from the audiences when she donned her national costume and practiced introducing herself to the crowd.

Her violet, pink, yellow and white baro’t saya gown with butterfly sleeves was designed by Columbian designer Alfredo Barraza.

Eighty-eight women from all over the world are vying for the much coveted crown.

Set to take place at the Florida International University Arena in Doral City, Florida, the 63rd Miss Universe coronation night will be held this Sunday evening, Miami time, and Monday morning, Philippine time.
