Derrick Monasterio will finally reunite with Elle Villanueva on screen for their upcoming GMA Afternoon Prime series Apoy sa Dugo.
In an exclusive interview with GMA Network.com, the Kapuso actor shared his thoughts on his on-screen chemistry with Elle and how motivated he feels during their scenes together.
“Syempre, ano na 'yan, gamay na gamay na talaga namin 'yung isa't isa,” he said about acting with Elle again.
“Gaya ng lagi kong sinasabi, masaya ako na siya 'yung laging kasama ko kasi sa totoo lang, mas nagiging vulnerable ako kapag nakikita ko siya,” he added.
The Apoy sa Dugo actor also mentioned how easy it is to act alongside Elle.
“Hindi ko alam kung bakit pero parang mas madali umarte kapag siya 'yung kaharap,” Derrick explained.
He continued, “Siguro kasi may mga nababasa akong something sa mata niya tapos nagta-translate. So, lahat ng mga breakthrough performances ko, masasabi ko kasama ko siya lagi.”
Derrick and Elle first worked together in the 2022 GMA series Return To Paradise, followed by Makiling in 2024.
Joining Derrick and Elle in Apoy sa Dugo are Ashley Ortega, Thea Tolentino, Pinky Amador, and Ricardo Cepeda.
