A must-try lumpia recipe


Ingredients:


1 can CDO Karne Norte 150g
1 pc onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 small pc carrot, cut into thin strips
¼ cabbage, cut into shreds
2 pcs cabbage
2 tbsp peanuts, crushed
1 tsp sugar
2 lumpia wrapper
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oil
Salt and pepper to taste

For the sauce:

1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sugar
1 cup beef stock
Salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:

Sauté onion and garlic in oil. Add in CDO Karne Norte. Sauté for a minute or two.
Add in carrots, sauté for a minute then add in cabbage
Season with soy sauce, salt and pepper. Turn off heat then let it cool.
While waiting, mix in the peanuts and sugar, set aside.
For the sauce, dissolve all ingredients in cold beef stock in a pot.
When all is dissolved turn on heat. Continuously mixing to avoid clumps.
Turn off heat when sauce has thickened. Set aside.
To assemble lumpia, lay 1 lumpia wrapper and lay 1 local lettuce on top.
Spoon some vegetable and CDO Karne Norte mixture on top. Sprinkle some peanuts and sugar mixture.
Then roll wrapper and wet the edges with some sauce to make it stick.
Pour some sauce on top and sprinkle some more of the peanut mixture.
