Matapos ang tinaguriang "historic deal" sa pagitan ng media giants na GMA Network at ABS-CBN, maari nang mapanood ang ilang piling pelikula ng Star Cinema sa local chanels ng GMA.
Masaya si ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlo Katigbak na may bagong plataporma at bagong mga manonood ang maabot ng mga pelikula mula sa kanilang film outfit.
"Every storyteller's dream is to have as many people as possible, experience their creations. Now, because of the kindness of our friends at GMA, we have the special opportunity to bring our Kapamilya stories to a new audience. We hope the Kapusos find joy and inspiration in viewing our Star Cinema movies. And we also look forward to a new era of friendship and cooperation within our small industry," pahayag niya.
Samantala, umaasa naman si GMA Network President and COO Gilberto R. Duavit Jr. na simula ito ng mga panibagong partnerships sa pagitan ng dalawang network.
"Since we have, as they say, broken the ice, there is great optimism that these conversations will continue or start and continue. We look forward to the possibility of this type of opportunity again, moving forward. Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat. It is a very significant day for both of us and for the Filipino viewer, maging Kapuso or Kapamilya man," pahayag niya.
Ilan sa mga Star Cinema movies na dapat abangan mula sa GMA ay ang 'Crazy Beautiful You' nina Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, family drama film 'Seven Sundays,' at global blockbuster hit 'Hello, Love, Goodbye.'
