Georgina Wilson thinks that if her modelling career began with a competition as arduous as Asia’s Next Top Model, she might not be able to make it.
“Hindi [yata] ako papasa,” she said, laughing.
The Filipina-actress model has much respect for the contestants of the supermodel search she is hosting as they go through rigorous trainings and difficult challenges.
“What we put the girls through, it’s so difficult. It’s modelling boot camp. It’s so intense… Every single day, may photo shoot sila, may challenge, may something. So [kapag nagkakaroon ng day off], everyone [is] just like dead [tired],” she shared.
When she began her career ten years ago, she admits that she didn’t go through these types of tests.
“When I started, I never shot for a Harper’s Bazaar cover. So that pressure and anxiety [that the girls constantly face], it’s difficult… There are stuff that I learned five years down the line that they had to learn right then and there. In thirteen weeks, they had to learn everything that I learned in ten years,” she added.
Because the show gets intense and the girls get emotional, she assures them that their hard work will pay off, as hers did.
“I always tell the girls [to] stay strong ‘cause it’s not easy but there’s a massive reward in the end,” she declared.
Viewers can follow the girls’ journey to becoming international super models on GMA Network every Sunday, after
Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.
