Korean celebs spotted in Philippine malls

Retail experts often say that the “mall culture” is deeply embedded in the DNA of every Filipino.
It is a place to shop, relax and even bigger malls have huge entertainment facilities which draws huge crowds. And of course, in a tropical country like the Philippines, going to the mall is an escape to stifling heat outside.
Although malls across the country were severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, signs are pointing to a recovery already. Businessworld cited a report from Colliers Philippines last October 2022, wherein it stated that foot traffic in major malls is now at 85-95 percent of 2019 levels.
Of course, going to the mall is a sort of quick getaway for many Korean stars and K-pop idols who have visited the country in the past during their fan meets or concerts.
Were you among the thousands of CARATs who were wishing to bump into one member of the K-pop phenom group SEVENTEEN, when they were roaming the SM Mall of Asia complex back in October 2022.
Or were you lucky enough to see Korean heartthrob Ji Chang-wook while exploring Greenbelt in Makati before his “Reach You” fan meet?
Take a look at some of these Korean celebrities who took time off from their busy schedule to hang out in some of the biggest malls in the country.
