Although Palawan is a frequent tourist destination, the island province still has many wonders to boast. The 'Biyahe Ni Drew' team discovered the town of Narra whose locals take pride in how peaceful, quiet and safe it is, even at night.

Biyahero Drew Arellano shares some of the many things that could be done here.

Biyahero tip #1: See the Estrella Water Falls

Located in Brgy. Estrella, this 20 foot-wonder is one of the most accessible waterfalls among the 64 in Palawan.

Entrance fee: 30 pesos

Biyahero tip #2: Try the San Isidro Hot Spring

For an affordable amount, you and your travel companions can enjoy a day at the San Isidro Hot Spring located along the National Highway in Brgy. Bato-bato. Its peaceful atmosphere and comfortable huts make for a great relaxation venue.

Biyahero tip #3: Go to a private island

If you’re on a special holiday and you’re willing to spend quite an amount, the private Arena Island in Brgy. Pandacan should be a consideration. An hour away from the mainland and with only five cottages, it’s perfect for honeymooners and tourists who want a peaceful vacation.

Three-day, two-night cost for two people: 36,000 pesos (inclusive of a cottage, meals, use of equipment and free massage)

Biyahero tip #4: Discover the beautiful marine life

See what the marine paradise has to offer by going snorkeling or island hopping around Narra. The clean and vast underwater playground shouldn’t be missed by divers.

Island hopping starts at P2,500.00.

Biyahero tip #5: Try different kinds of kakanin

Because Narra is known as the rice granary of Palawan, locals are experts in making different kinds of kakanin. It’s seemingly Christmas all year round because of the availability of affordable and tasty bibingka.

A flight from Manila to Puerto Princesa takes about an hour and a half. From the Puerto Princesa Airport, Narra is another hour and a half trip by land to Narra, Southern Palawan.
