SHINee's Taemin and Onew are reportedly not renewing contracts with SM Entertainment

SHINee members Taemin and Onew are currently trending on X (formerly Twitter) following reports that they are set to conclude their contracts with their long-time agency, SM Entertainment, this year.
According to reports, Taemin will not renew his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment which expires at the end of this month.
Taemin has been with SM Entertainment for 16 years since he debuted with SHINee in 2008.
Onew, who is currently on hiatus, is also reportedly ending his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment, which will expire in the first half of 2024.
However, despite their departure from SM Entertainment, SHINee is expected to continue their group activities with the said agency.
