March 16 was a night of celebrating the local film industry and artistry as a new local film festival culminated with an awards night.
This year, the Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival featured six full-length films directed by known local filmmakers and 25 short films by budding student directors.
Kurt Soberano's Under a Piaya Moon won Best Picture in the full-length category, while Ronjay Mendiola's Last Shift was hailed Best Picture in the student shorts category.
