James and Pia's kilig story all started with an Instagram post. Did it go beyond social media?

Hollywood actor James Franco publicly announced his "love" for Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach through an Instagram post. Likewise, Miss Universe 2015 admitted that she shares the same admiration for him as her celebrity crush.

During her interview guesting on the radio show of Hot 97, the actress-turned-beauty queen gushed when the DJs brought up the topic about her and the American actor. Has James asked her on a formal date?
“No,” she said while shaking her head and continued, “That was [just] on Instagram, and you know, it’s a nice [gesture].”
Pia, 26, has been single ever since she joined the pageant world. Now that she has the crown, she still hasn’t received any invitation from anyone who would like to ask her out on a date.

“You know what, no, and I’m quite surprised myself. [I thought], ‘Shouldn’t it be easier for me now to meet somebody and go out on a date?’ But then, there’s nobody [asking]. I don’t know what [I am] doing wrong,” she laughed.
Although the newly-crowned Miss Universe gained so much popularity in social media in such a short time, she cleared that “nobody is asking me out on dates.” She continued, [There are] people sending me DMs (direct messages) to say that I’m their idol [and there are also] some bashers. I haven’t received anything from like a guy asking me out.”
The DJs thought that James might “not be ready” or maybe “he’s [going to] figure out how to get to [Pia].” The Filipina beauty queen shrugged the idea and said, “Don’t give me false hope. (laughs)”
