SHINee's ONEW charms fans with 'beat drum' music video

SHINee's leader ONEW has once again captivated fans with his eagerly anticipated new music video, "beat drum."

The song delivers a cute yet charming vibe, blending the sounds of a heartbeat, cool bass play, and chill hip-hop beats. ONEW's vocal prowess shines through, showcasing his impressive high notes and seamless blending skills.

Fans were also thrilled with ONEW's visuals and dance moves in the music video. Many were also excited to see him playing the drums and experimenting with new hip-hop fashion. The cinematography, with its laid-back and stylish theme, further delighted viewers. Highlights included dancers listening to heartbeats on the walls and a unique elevator dance scene that was captured through a variety of creative camera shots.

As of writing, "beat drum" has earned more than 3,700 views and 4,500 likes in almost half an hour since it was released. Enthusiastic fans have taken to social media, including X (formerly Twitter), to express their excitement over ONEW's return.

The said track is part of his third mini album, Flow, which marks ONEW's long-awaited full comeback after a health hiatus. According to reports, ONEW expressed his regrets for missing the promotions of SHINee's 8th full-length album HARD due to poor health. "At first, I felt burdened. Since so many people have been waiting for me, I first thought, 'I have to go back quickly, what should I do?' However, by going with the flow and not getting stressed, I was able to quickly find stability," he said.

Now that he's regained his confidence and health, ONEW is ready to further reconnect with fans and embark on new projects. In addition to his latest mini album, the K-pop star is gearing up for his fan concert, “Hola!” on October 5 and 6 in Seoul. Following that, he'll head to Japan for shows on November 21 and 22.

Last July 4, ONEW visited the Philippines for his “GUESS” fan meeting at the New Frontier Theater, where he enjoyed singing, dancing, and chatting with fans.
