Jake Vargas recalls his first day in 'Walang Tulugan'

By MARY LOUISE LIGUNAS

As Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman comes to a close, Kapuso actor Jake Vargas recounted his first appearance on the show.

“[It was] 'yung time na nag-uumpisa [pa lang ako sa showbiz so kinabahan ako nung biglang] pinahawak ako agad ni Tatay ng mic para mag-host,” he said.

From the beginning, he felt how much trust the late German Moreno had in him. With that, he made sure to persevere so as not to let him down.

Now that he’s one of GMA Network’s most bankable stars, he is grateful to have been part of the late night show and is sure to treasure all the friendships he established over the years.

Jake and other mainstays of Walang Tulugan are set to give tribute to the late Kuya Germs in The Master Showman’s Final Bow. The one hour special will air on Friday, February 26 at 10 p.m.
