Neri Naig taken to hospital for 'medical evaluation'

Celebrity entrepreneur Neri Naig-Miranda, who was arrested for alleged syndicated estafa and violations of the Securities Regulation Code, has been taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation.
The information was from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology spokesperson Jail Supt. Jayrex Bustinera, who said Naig was transferred to a hospital on Friday, November 29.
“RTC Branch 112 ordered the BJMP to bring PDL Nerizza Miranda to a hospital for medical evaluation...The court order was issued because of the request of PDL Miranda's lawyer,” Supt. Bustinera said in a text message to GMA News.
In compliance with the court order, the jail official said the medical evaluation “shall not be more than five days” and the actress will be returned to her detention cell within five days.
He also added that Neri had no health issues when she was brought to the jail.
"None. Standard procedure ang health evaluation during the intake process in all BJMP facilities and there were no noted health issues during her intake. The recent hospitalization was the request of her lawyer," said Supt. Bustinera.
Neri's husband Chito Miranda, frontman of Parokya Ni Edgar, has spoken up regarding his wife's arrest to defend her.
"Never nanloko si Neri, at never sya nanlamang sa kapwa," he said.
"Never siyang kumuha or nanghingi ng pera kahit kanino man. Wala syang na-receive na letter from the prosecutor, walang subpoena, walang kahit anong notice," Chito added.
