She and dance partner Benny have been a pair for a year now.

 

March 14, 2015... the day I met my partner and I decided to get seriously into Dancesport. It's been a year, and I have competed twice, and competed in my first Nationals. I can't say it has been a smooth ride with my partner, but it has been one hell of an exciting journey, full of twists and turns, some separations, a lot of fights, but also a lot of good times and very memorable experiences. I've come so far since that day... I've lost more than 40 pounds, and my dancing has improved tremendously. If I had to do it all over again, I would still choose to do it all with my partner. Team Ella and Benny until we win that gold!!! ???????????? #OneYear
