According to GMA Program Manager Ms. Hazel Abonita who was present during the Cambodia and Philippine shooting of Fight for Love, the international team was impressed with the work ethic and acting skills of Mikael Daez and Andrea Torres.

Director Ken Simpson and director of photography Alex Dacev who are both from Canada, as well as different staff members from Cambodia, only had good words for the two Kapuso stars.

Mikael shared how he and Andrea were determined to give their best for the collaboration project between GMA Network and Cambodia Television Network.

“So thankful that that’s how they feel about us. Andrea and I, from the very beginning, said we just wanna work hard and try to improve. Whatever happens after working hard and trying to improve, that’s cherry on top. It motivates us more and makes us happy… We also wanted to represent Filipinos and GMA well so we hope we did it,” he said.

Andrea agreed with him saying that she’s thankful that their hard work paid off.

“[Masarap sa pakiramdam na] na-appreciate nila yung work na binigay namin ni Mikael. Yun naman talaga yung goal – na magustuhan ng mga boss, magustuhan ng mga manonood. [We are] so thankful. Hard work lang talaga. Nag-prepare talaga kami for this,” she added.
