History was made with a touch of light!

A groundbreaking moment for both film and inclusivity just happened at the celebration of National Autism Consciousness Week at a mall in Quezon City.

SM Cares and GMA Pictures partnered with the Autism Society Philippines to host a free "Lights Up, Sounds Down" sensory-friendly screening of Firefly, the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival's Best Picture on January 17.

The sensory-friendly screening is designed to accommodate children on the autism spectrum by adjusting the lighting and sound levels while also allowing for movement and vocal expressions.

In addition to the celebration, Firefly stars Alessandra De Rossi and Euwenn Mikaell attended the screening to support the autism community.
