This new chapter of Alamat opens its pages on May 15, Sunday, at 5:15pm on GMA.

This summer, Alamat returns to our TV screens with more stories that could answer the hard questions that children ask: Why are there eclipses? Where did the first monkey come from? Why are bananas shaped like fingers?

This season of Alamat is also a step up from last year’s ground breaking debut on television. Aside from animation, the new Alamat also features live action drama with more song numbers and magical stories that the whole family will enjoy.

Joining the cast this season are Benjamin Alves, LJ Reyes, Bianca Umali, Franceska Farr, Rafa Siguion-Reyna, Leo Martinez, Tonipet Gaba, Love Anover, John Feir, Zymic Jaranilla and Miggs Cuaderno.

More than serving up colorful stories though, Alamat is foremost a program with a lesson. You will see huge, destructive monsters but they may not be the real monsters of the story; and sometimes what looks like a happy ending is anything but happy.
