Ali, who was born Cassius Clay before he converted to Islam and changed his name, has been battling Parkinson's disease for the last 32 years. He has also been hospitalized recently due to urinary tract infection and pneumonia.

He headlined 'Thrilla in Manila' in October 1975 with Joe Frazier, their third and final match for the Heavyweight Championship of the World title. It was held in the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City and was considered as one of the best matches in boxing history. Ali won by technical knockout on the 15th round.

Rest in peace, champ.
