Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer is back in the country to promote Thailand as a prime tourist destination.

In an exclusive interview with Nelson Canlas in 24Oras Weekend, Mario shared what does he thinks are  the similarities between the Thai people and Pinoys.

Mario explained, “First of all I think Filipino’s and Thai’s we look-a-like, were Asian. We have many things a-like, like food and I think the country [and] the [values] stuff like that. And I think the kindness of people.”

He also recommended which are the best places travelers should visit in his homeland.

“If you like Thai food we have a lot of nice food there in Thailand. And of course you can explore the nature in Thailand, [like the] beaches [or] Pattaya is very close. And if you have time like three or four days or two days, you can fly to Chiang Mai.”

The Thai actor was previously linked by several entertainment website and gossip columns with theater actress/comedienne Kakai Bautista. The two worked together in a romantic film in 2012.
