Last September 29, LJ Reyes unveiled a project she's been working on for quite some time—the Smart Mommy App or MApp. Over on Instagram, the actress-turned-app-creator can't help but reminisce and remember all the effort she poured into the app.

 

It's been months of hardwork and headaches, but it's definitely worth it! From being just an idea, @mapp.ph is now ready to serve and help all parents out there. I want to thank people who from the beginning supported my crazy idea. @paolo_contis and @catilacad thank you for pushing me to start building my dream and vision. To my whole family whom I can't tag kasi ang dami nyo! Hahaha but every single one of you supported me in every single way! To my team, from my developer to my graphic artist to my writer to my content manager, to may data mining team, salamat sa pagtulong, pagsisipag and giving more than what I ask of you! I pray for our relationship and our little project to prosper in God's name! And how can I not thank my little one who has been my ultimate inspiration! Aki my love you have brought so much joy to mommy's life and I cannot put into words how grateful I am to God for your presence in my life! In everything I do, you are my reason! God provides for me so I can provide for you, so I can take good care of a precious one like you. And above everyone else, I thank God for all these.. the idea, the support, the business, the key people.. God is my foundation, strength, wisdom and courage! Help me build this house Father God!??? LJ thanked friends Paolo Contis and Cat Ilacad for pushing her, her family for supporting her, her team for following her, her son Aki for inspiring her, and God for guiding her.

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork, LJ shared why she feels that MApp is essential for mommies. 

According to her, "Ngayon lang din kasi nag-sta-start na maging baby and kid friendly 'yung mga establishments and I just believe na it's [going to] be easier for us if we have an app like this because this is more specific kasi."

What made her decide to create and launch MApp?

"Marami talaga akong naiiisip na kung ano-ano! [laughs] Parang na-feel ko na talagang ito 'yung needed, wala pa din talagang gumagawa so I want to be the first one to do something like this," LJ answered.

Lastly, she showed some of the features of her app.

"Nag-incorporate din ako ng mga coupons kasi we target ['yung] mga savvy and practical moms. And then 'yung first aid and emergency numbers, it helps a lot kasi you just open the app and everything's there!"

MApp is now released on Android and will soon be available on iOS.
