Ang Papal award na tatanggapin ng Philippine Queen of Comedy at Sunday PinaSaya host ang pinakamataas na parangal na iginagawad sa mga laity o mga pangkaraniwang tao.

Paparangalan si Aiai delas Alas ng Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice medal mula sa Simbahang Katoliko sa pangunguna mismo ni Pope Francis.

Kuwento ni Brother Bo Sanchez, ikinagulat daw ni Aiai ang balitang ito at napabulalas daw ang Kapuso actress ng ‘Why me? I’m a sinner!’

Dagdag pa ni Brother Bo, “The Vatican investigated her life, her colorful past and failures, but they also saw how Jesus is working in her life, as shown by her selfless work for the poor and the church. God uses broken people, and through our cracks, his light shines.”

Naging maiksi naman ang pahayag ni Aiai sa kanyang Instagram post.

Aniya, “To God be the glory. Maraming salamat sa Panginoon at sa ating Santo Papa para sa award na ito.”

Ayon sa ulat ng GMA News Online, inaasahang ang pormal na paggawad ng medalya kay Aiai ay gaganapin kasabay ng kanyang kaarawan sa November 11 sa Cathedral of the Good Shepherd.  Bilang Papal awardee ay maaari na rin daw maimbitahan ang Kapuso actress sa mga espesyal na pagtitipon sa Vatican Church.
