2016 has been full of surprises for the Pinoy Matteo Do. 

Very thankful si Gil sa mga opportunities na naibigay sa kanya noong nakaraang taon. Sa kanyang Instagram post, naikuwento ng aktor na malaki ang pinagbago ng buhay niya noong 2016.

Ika niya, "I guess it's safe to say that 2016 was the year my life changed the most (SO FAR...). I experienced a lot of ups and downs, learned a lot of lessons, and grew the most as a person. I made a lot of mistakes, but also learned from those mistakes to become a better person. This year was a constant process of discovering who I am and finding my place under the sun. And as the year ends, I can definitely say I know who I am (as of now) and what I want to be, and where exactly I fit under the sun."

Si Gil din ang gaganap bilang Matteo sa Philippine version ng My Love From The Star. Masaya rin naman ang aktor sa tiwalang ibinibigay ng network sa kanya at sa pagbigay sa kanya ng role na ito.

Aniya, "Aside from this, I'm also grateful for all the blessings I've received this year. From getting the opportunity to model in Hong Kong, to landing the role of Matteo Do despite my inexperience in acting, and everything in between, 2016 has blessed me in more ways than one. It's now up to me to make the most of these opportunities; I want to get better at my craft. Thank you 2016, I'm ready to do great things in 2017. Can't wait to get started."
