In an interview with 24 Oras, Margie Moran weighed in on the chances of Miss Universe Philippines candidate Maxine Medina winning the coveted title and crown of Miss Universe 2016.

Margie, who was Miss Universe 1973, shared the same stage with Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz and reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach for the first time at the event held by the Miss Universe Organization to pay tribute to the three Pinay beauty queens.

She expressed, “Honored naman ako. I’m very honored not only because we won the crown, but because of what we did after winning the crown.”

Margie also held a different opinion about Maxine winning in the pageant.

She said,  “It’s destiny. I mean it’s meant for you, even if it’s in your home country, it’s going to go to you.”
