Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere is the second crowned queen of France after 64 years. Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach crowned the French beauty at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City before 20,000 people from all over the world.
 
According to the Miss Universe website, the 23-year-old model-turned-beauty queen is pursuing her Dental Surgery degree in the last five years. She has always been fond of extreme sports, traveling the world, and cooking new French dishes.
 
As Miss Universe, she hopes to advocate for dental and oral hygiene.

Just last year, Miss France Flora Coquerel placed in the top five of the competition, and finally this year, their very own candidate was crowned.
 
Miss Haiti Raquel Pellisier is the first runner-up, while Miss Colombia Andrea Tovar placed in the top three.
