Congratulations, Miss France!
Two of the judges of the 65th Miss Universe competition were former titleholders of the prestigious pageant, and earlier at the red carpet event, they revealed what they are looking for in the next Miss Universe.
Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres became an ambassador of UNICEF and at one point was an actress in the Philippines. The Latina beauty admitted that she would have a hard time picking a winner.

“[It’s] always been a tough job to find that girl [who] is empowering, confident, sweet, relatable, that you can talk to her, [and who] has a heart,” she told Unang Hirit.
Meanwhile, Miss Universe 1994 Sushmita Sen is the first-ever crowned winner of India. Right after her reign, she became one of the brightest Bollywood stars as well as the owner of the Miss Universe franchise in her country.
She looks for, “A 21st century woman who’s not apologetic about being beautiful. She takes pride in it, she inspires the world, and she does it by leading her life as an example.”
Apparently, they found those qualities in Iris Mittenaere of France who was crowned as Miss Universe 2016 in the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Congratulations, Miss France!
