There’s definitely no bad blood between Miss Universe 1st Runner-up Raquel Pellisier and the newly crowned Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere.

Even though the Caribbean beauty didn’t win the crown earlier (January 30) at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, she still wished her French opponent a memorable reign ahead.
“I’m sure you will be a great Miss Universe. I believe in you,” she posted a photo of them during the announcement of the winner.
The 24-year-old Haitian who survived the earthquake that hit their country in 2010 was a crowd favorite. She thanked everyone for the overwhelming support on her Miss Universe journey.
It was her pleasure to represent her beloved country in the international stage, “My dream was to show the world that Haiti is here and Haiti is worth it! I feel so blessed to achieve that today.”
She wishes to stay in the Philippines a little bit longer to explore her Filipino roots.
