In celebration of International Women's Day, get to know the strong female heads of GMA Entertainment TV!

Did you know that GMA Entertainment TV is empowered by strong female heads?

Currently, the amazing shows being produced by the team are under the supervisions of Senior Vice President for Entertainment Lilybeth Rasonable, Vice President for Entertainment Marivin Arayata, Vice President for Drama Redgie Magno, Assistant Vice President for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, Vice President and Head of GMA Entertainment’s Business Development Department III (musical, variety, magazine, and special programs) Darling de Jesus, and Senior Assistant Vice President for Business Development Department II (comedy, infotainment, game, and reality productions) Janine Piad-Nacar.

Earlier this year, the lineup of ETV shows for 2017 was announced by these ETV bosses. During the press conference, they shared how they managed to have the new shows approved by GMA Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon.

The all-female executives admitted that it's hard to pitch their shows to Gozon. But being an all-women group has been giving them an advantage whenever they defend their proposals. "Siyempre na-over power siya. Kapag umapela na kami, lumalambot din ang puso ni Atty. Gozon," said Rasonable.

She added, "Seriously, to him, it does not really matter if you're a male or a female. [Ang importante ay] 'yung laman ng sinasabi mo na pinapakinggan niya. But what we bring as women to our shows or to our proposals ay sensitivity [at] puso."

For Rasonable, women are even tougher than men in some cases. "Kapag sa laban, tough ang mga babae, hindi sumusuko. So I think that's what we bring to our shows and to what we think of in terms of what we put out on television," she explained.

Lastly, Magno shared that they may be women on the outside but they are fierce when it comes to their personalities. "We want to take risks all the time. We're willing to do that," she ended.

With the high ratings of the GMA Entertainment shows, these lady bosses are truly brilliant! Happy International Women's Day!
