Chariz Solomon may have not snagged the title of Ultimate Sweetheart for StarStruck's fourth batch. But she is found her own light as as the country’s next sexy comedienne. How is Chariz facing all this new attention? Chariz Solomon was the very first female contender to be voted off StarStruck batch four. Despite this fact, Chariz has solidly become one of the newest faces to grace the Kapuso network. With Regular gigs such as Struck Attack on Startalk, Zaido, My Only Love and Bubble Gang, Chariz is now hotter than any StarStruck Avenger from her batch. “Sobrang saya, sobrang flattered. Kung baga sa batch namin, hindi ko ine-expect talaga na mangyari sa akin [toh] ngayon eh.” says Chariz. The young actress admits that she owes all her new found fame to her segment in Startalk , “Mahal ko talaga yung Struck Attack, kasi doon nila ako [nakilala]. Hindi ko talaga iiwan yun.” It may have all started on Struck Attack, but it was Chariz’s unique acting style, that made the GMA management notice her potential in the comedy genre. “Masaya kasi ako talaga, masayahin akong tao, bakla ganoon so parang ako [talaga yun].” Though she may excel as the next Rufa Mae Quinto, Chariz admits that being a comedian has its own pitfalls, “Nung una parang nag-lalaro lang, pero natutunan ko na mahirap din pala na malagay sa linya ng comedy.” With this reality in mind, she usually sets out the advice of veteran co-stars in all of her shows, “Humihingi ako ng advice, I do my homework talaga. Nag re-research ako, like yung mga previous episode [pinapanood ko].” She also watches her own shows just to be able to observe her own acting. For Chariz, being an actress isn’t just about the popularity and glamour, it’s more of a cautious learning process. Research isn’t the only thing Chariz has learned in the entertainment industry. “Naging disiplinado na ako. Ngayon nag-alalarm ako, ngayon nauunahan ko na yung alarm.” She also shares that she has learned to be patient, “Di’ba showbiz is about waiting waiting, dati hindi ako patient mag hintay hintay.” She may be funny and bubbly, but Chariz Solomon is one of the hardest working actress of this industry. She attributes all this motivation to her family, “Inspiartion ko po sila kasi gusto ko maging stable yung buhay namin.” Her great work ethic will be Chariz’s best attribute in order to succeed in this cut-throat industry.
