You’ve tracked their rise to fame in the musical scene as finalists of Pinoy Pop Superstar Season 1. Now, you can listen to their powerful voices and even sing-along with them. The finalists of Pinoy Pop Superstar’s first season have released an album that contains eight tracks covering different genres from many diverse eras. MC Monterola remakes the Chaka Khan hit “Through the Fire” while ultimate winner Jonalyn Viray gives the ballad “It Might Be You” her own personal stamp. Kristel Astor uses her formidable belting prowess on “If You Don’t Know Me By Now” which was originally written for male vocals. “I Believe” features cute Charmaine Piamonte on lead and “How Did You Know?” is covered by Filipino- Canadian Philbert de Torres. Sheila Ferrarie may have come out of the North American contest rounds but she chooses to sing a Tagalog hit “Tukso” on the album. Hers is the only Tagalog song to make it to the track list. Brennan Espartinez, the contest’s true-blue soul sensation lends his talents to his version of “Home.” Rounding off the stellar collection is Michael Anthony Garcia’s adaptation of Daniel Bedinfield’s love song “If You’re Not The One.” As the first season’s supposed crowd heartthrob, the choice to do a romantic ballad will surely send fans swooning from the first track. And if you are aspiring to be the next Pinoy Pop Superstar, you can start practicing your vocal chords with the song “My Miracle” whose minus one is part of the album. So run -- don’t walk -- as fast as you can to your nearest record stores for your own copy of Pinoy Pop Superstar’s first album! Think you should be on the next season's album?
