Humakot ng awards sa Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Gabi ng Parangal 2017 ang mga pelikulang 'Ang Larawan' at 'Siargao.'

Humakot ng awards sa Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Gabi ng Parangal 2017 ang Ang Larawan at Siargao.

Wagi bilang Best Actress ang bida ng Ang Larawan, ang musical theater actress na si Joanna Ampil, “[Ang] Larawan will outlive all of us so I’m very, very proud to be in this movie. With or without the awards, it’s such an important piece of material.”

Kabilang pa sa awards ng Ang Larawan ay Best Picture, Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award, Best Musical Score, Best Production Design at Posthumous Special Jury Prize para kay Nick Joaquin.

“We started working on the film itself [for] almost five years ago so ang feeling ko, parang it’s like our baby talaga that we saw grow up. We’ve been so in love with this project,” ani ng aktres na si Rachel Alejandro sa Balitanghali.

Nakuha naman ng Siargao ang 2nd Best Picture, Best Cinematography, Best Sound at Best Editing. Best Director si Paul Soriano at Best Actress in a Supporting Role naman si Jasmine Curtis-Smith.

Nagwagi naman bilang Best Actor in a Supporting Role ang My Korean Jagiya star na si Edgar Allan Guzman para sa Deadma Walking. Aniya, “Hindi ako nag-e-expect pero noong nalaman ko na ako talaga, naging emotional pero nabawi naman iyon noong nakaharap na ako sa audience.
