It was not Adrian Alandy's first time to portray a historic character. He recounted on his Instagram post that he portrayed Lapu-Lapu in the same event in 2005.
Hunk actor Adrian Alandy took part at the celebration of Kadaugan Festival in Cebu.
He participated in the 'Kadaugan sa Mactan: The Battle of Lapu-Lapu and Magellan' wherein he played the role of Magellan. Derick Hubalde portrayed Lapu-Lapu while Dionne Monsanto acted as Reyna Bulakna.
According to cebu-tourism.techcellar.net, it is a re-enactment of the historic battle between Lapu-Lapu and Magellan. It is done annually at the beach of Barangay Mactan (Mactan Shrine) where the event had actually taken place.

"I’ll be Ferdinand Magellan this time. The last time I did this was back in 2005 (I think), but I was Lapu-Lapu. See you on April 27 in Cebu, for the re-enactment of this Historic battle," he wrote.
