This time it was Heart Evangelista’s turn in the hot seat at she is subjected to the lie detector test in Showbiz Central’s Don’t Lie to Me segment. Text by Erick Mataverde. Photos by Mitch Mauricio. It was no less than her Codename: Asero co-star Richard Gutierrez together with John "Sweet" Lapus who acted as interrogators to the young actress. At first, Heart seemed calm and composed but when Richard was about to start with his questions, her nervousness showed. However, she had no cause to be worried since she was found to be truthful in all her answers under the lie detector machine. This can be considered a feat, since she also had to answer more than the usual five questions. The first question posed to her was: "Nagkaroon ng time na medyo matagal tayo hindi nagkita sa taping after Dubai, at nung nagkita tayo ulit sabi mo sa akin na-miss mo ako. Gusto ko malaman with pure honesty ba yung sinasabi mong na-miss talaga ako?" Heart quickly replied: "Yes, as a friend." Sweet quickly found an opportunity to ask Richard, who was not able to escape being asked questions himself during the whole time, who sat next to who in the plane during the Hongkong to Dubai trip on their way to the Codename: Asero taping. Richard explains: "Tinabihan ko si Heart, para papunta pa lang ng Dubai eh makilala na namin ang isa’t isa." The next question of Richard to Heart was: "Totoo bang kaya red lipstick ang gamit mo during our scenes ay dahil gusto mo mapansin ko ang lips mo dahil naiilang ka daw pag tumitingin ako sa mga mata mo?" Heart’s reply to this was "No". But she admitted that she gets conscious when Richard looks straight into her eyes. Richard countered with "Kasi napakaganda ng mata ni Heart eh. Laging sparkling." Richard, for his third question, asked: "Nagkaroon tayo ng underwater kissing scene which took two days to shoot. Totoo bang sa lahat ng kissing scene ito ang pinaka memorable sa iyo?" Heart answered "Yes". And she further explained "Pero kaya siya memorable sa akin dahil ginawa namin siya ng mag fa-five am, tapos paulit-ulit, paulit-ulit talaga yung kissing scene, nabilib ako kay Richard bilang isang artista wala siyang reklamo very professional na artista." To this, Richard quipped: "Ako naman kasi pagdating sa ganyang eksena wala akong reklamo no. Professional lang." The next two questions were: "Totoo ba na up to now eh masama daw ang loob mo sa isang young actress dahil sinisiraan ka nito diumano sa dati mong ka-love team?" and "Totoo ba na may isang gabi na kayo ay nagkaroon ng confrontation scene ni Miss Ann Curtis sa isang bar sa The Fort?" And to both of these, she answered "No". To the former, she added: "Kasi hindi ko alam kung sino." And the latter, she mentioned that she goes out to bars with Ann as friends but maybe this rumor came about, "Siguro dahil ex ni Richard si Ann", wherein Richard reminded her that she was the one being interrogated not him. Heart answered "Yes" as well to Richard’s question: "Totoo bang malaki ang naitulong ko para makalimutan mo ang iyong mga problema?" And Richard further clarified:"Nagkataon kasi nung mga time na si Heart daw malungkot ako yung nandoon sa tabi niya, ako yung nakikinig sa kanya, ako yung shoulder to cry on niya during that time." As the final question Richard asked heart: "Kung sakaling liligawan kita may chance ba ako?" After some prodding, Heart answered "I’m single why not? Yes." However, she said she was a bit reluctant to answer this question explaining that since some of the fans of KC Concepcion are not happy with her being linked to Richard. "Kaya nga friends lang kami ni Richard" she says. "Walang selosan na nangyayari, kaya mga fans dapat hindi na kayo nagaaway." was Richard’s appeal to Heart and KC’s fans. With all these controversial questions posed to her, and as proven by her perfect answers to all the questions, the lie detector proved no match for Heart. This may be a sign that this tandem of Richard and Heart may prove to be as remarkable as it compelling on and off camera.
