With his whole family living in Los Angeles, Kapuso actor Ivan Dorschner can't help but feel like an Overseas Filipino Worker or OFW whenever he is working in the Philippines.

"Actually, ang trato ko mismo sa life ko is para akong OFW. Ganoon din 'yung tagpo ng buhay ko. Mga OFW, pumupunta sa Saudi Arabia or Dubai, they leave their family and work in a different country, under different rules, for different bosses, and speaking a different language; lahat ng 'yan. I'm an OFW, it's just that I work in the Philippines kasi my family is in the States," Ivan shared in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com.

That's why after filming for The One That Got Away back in May, Ivan flew back home to reunite with his family. "Para akong balikbayan sa America. -- Sinabayan ko rin ng training sa acting, writing, and production. Workation na rin pwedeng tawagin."

Ivan did acting and writing workshops under Upright Citizens Brigade Theater which has produced notable alumni such as Amy Poehler, Donald Glover, and Aubrey Plaza.
