Miriam Quiambao asks for prayers as she 'might give birth to a preemie'

The former Unang Hirit host is currently pregnant with her first child with husband Ardy Roberto.

On her post, she explained that her doctor decided to admit her in the hospital earlier than expected after her ultrasound test.

“So I went for an ultrasound/doppler test last night.

“It turns out that my cervix is at 1cm already and 0.99cm short at only 34 weeks!

“Dr. decided to admit me right away and they hooked me up to a fetal monitor,” Miriam wrote.

While at the hospital, Miriam took some childbirth crash course with Former Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Ms. Chiqui Brosas Hahn, which included breathing patterns when strong contractions happen.

Meanwhile, Miriam's husband, Ardy, posted a more detailed story about his wife on Instagram.

He said the doctors were trying their best to prolong the delivery for Baby Elijah's sake.

“Miriam had her Doppler ultrasound last night at the hospital and they didn't let her go home na!

“They said Miriam might be going into labor na so they have her on a monitor.. they'll try to keep baby Elijah inside her for a few more days so that his lungs are more stable.

“Miriam is not going home until she gives birth! Heto na!

“We're a month early so they'll try to prolong delivery as long as they can for the baby's sake.

“Don't know when delivery is--can be anytime within the next few days or in a week or two sana.”

Ardy was also happy to share the good news that Miriam's contractions have stopped for now.

“But good news is that prayers have been answered and contractions have stopped for now.

“There is also no more 'brain sparing' so that means baby Elijah is getting the oxygen, blood and nutrients that his brain and body needs.

“Praise God! Grateful to God for giving us great loving doctors as well led by @dr.beckysingson.”
