More than 24-hours left before Catriona Gray's much-awaited homecoming parade, designer Fritz Silorio shared the details of the float that the current Miss Universe will be riding tomorrow, February 21.
“Ang design concept na ito ay inspired sa damit na sinuot niya [Catriona Gray] nung nanalo siya sa Miss Universe, na kung saan yung lava ay kinopya namin yung texture.
“Then, in-exaggerate na lang namin gamit ang textured fibre glass and then, in-airbrush namin. Hand-made po ito.”

The 9 by 30 feet float will feature not only the lava-inspired gown, but also the Mikimoto crown and the Peacock dress she worn during the preliminary round.
The homecoming parade for the current Miss Universe will start at 2:00 p.m. from Sofitel Philippines and will pass through the streets of Pasay, Manila, and Makati.
