In a span of 21 years, Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes has definitely made a mark not only on the small and big screen but also off-screen.
As a director, producer, and actor, Dingdong's name has always been associated with accolades and awards making him one of GMA's most bankable talents to date.
So it wouldn't be a surprise if a lot of young actors, like Pambansang Bae Alden Richards, would look up to Dingdong's successful and on-going career.
In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, the actor gave his two-cents on the matter and gave importance to how it is important for young actors to carve their own path when it comes to their own career.
He said, “My advice is don't have the same career path [as me] because you'll definitely have your own and it may be even better.
“I'm not saying that what I have is okay because I am still in the process of improving myself as an actor and I'm still a work in progress.”
“But I know na lahat ng mga bagong actors ay magagaling at may kaniya-kaniyang mga katangian.”
If there's one piece of advice that Dingdong can give, it would be fairly simple--to stay true to oneself.
“If they find their authentic selves and if they stay true to it, they'll be surprised by the many possibilities that are being offered, especially here in GMA.
“Basta suporta ako sa lahat ng mga kabataang artista ngayon,” he concludes.
During the press conference prepared for him earlier, April 22, it was announced that the actor is set to play Big Boss in the Filipino adaptation of the hit K-drama 'Descendants of the Sun'
