Through this, Gabbi aims to break the classic stereotype that only men can become an action star.

“The role shouldn't be typecasted lang sa mga boys o sa mga men. Na kung lalaki ka, ikaw lang ang action star.

“So now, girls can handle guns.”

As part of her preparation for her new role, the 20-year-old actress recently started her target shooting training under three-time speed shooting champion Jethro Dionisio.

Both Gabbi and Jethro aim to familiarize the actress with handling a gun to make it as realistic as possible when seen on screen.

According to Jethro, “Siyempre, ang goal natin once she handles a firearm, lalo na sa scenes niya on-cam, maging as realistic as possible.”
