At the set of "One True Love," Iza Calzado reveals that she's glad she's coming into the story as an individual act, not as half of a team-up. Happy for Dong-Yan When asked if she feels sad that her original leading man Dingdong Dantes has a new onscreen partner, Marian Rivera , Iza replies, "Actually, I'm quite glad that it's them that clicked, kasi hindi ko rin alam kung paano ko iha-handle ang love team, sa totoo lang. Hindi ko alam kung kaya kong makipag-love team talaga. Kasi I tried it nga with Dingdong before. I'm not very comfortable with the whole love team thing." She adds with a grin, "Si Brad Pitt kasi, hinihintay ko, ang tagal-tagal!" The actress shares that she prefers acting out offbeat roles and working with different actors every chance she gets. She mentions Richard Gomez and Mark Anthony Fernandez among the Kapuso stars she's want to work with. "[With every] actor whom you have scenes with, iba yung dynamics niyo. So I'd like to see how it would be like to have scenes with Goma, Mark Anthony, etc. If I had the chance, I'd work with someone new every month!" She adds, "It keeps you growing, and it keeps it fun! Kasi nangangapa ka na naman." Four firsts For the month of November, Iza will be the star of Obra. She will be the fourth actor to lead the Thursday night drama and she will be portraying a different character per episode: a beauty queen and a boxer, among others. The comedy episode will air first this Thursday, November 6. Beauty queens will be joining her together with Marco Alcaraz, who will portray her boyfriend. "Yung take namin sa role, I'm like an innocent, ignorant, super positive energy-person, na pag labas ko ng bahay, hello! Lahat binabati ko! Ms. Friendship talaga! Kaya lang pag sumasali ako ng beauty contest, nagiging mali mga sagot ko! Mali-mali, lost talaga! "I'm too innocent and ignorant about stuff, pero it comes across as bobo. Or mali-mali. Yung tipong, pag may sinabi sa aking mali, pwede ko pang tawanan yun. [Iba] yung interpretation ko sa utak." Iza shares that it was director Dominic Zapata's idea. "Pag dating ko sa set, sinabi niya [yung treatment namin sa role]. Sabi niya, this is how I think we should play this. Sabi ko, direk, bahala na kayo, ha!" Although people will see Iza in never-before-seen portrayals, she says that four episodes aren't enough to fulfill all her dream roles. "There are so many things I want to do, hindi mo maipagkakasya sa apat na episode lamang! Mahirap!" she exclaims. When asked what her favorite character is, she answers, "I have to play all of them first before I say, kasi it might seem na wow, ang ganda nito, pero pagdating ko doon, not as pala.
